As curator of the international speaker programme for this year’s SHARE Healthcare Experts Meeting, my aim has been to bring together professionals with extensive, hands-on experience in planning, designing and delivering complex hospital projects. The line-up reflects a deliberate balance between architectural excellence and strategic expertise — from leading global practices to advisory specialists shaping healthcare standards, investment frameworks and delivery strategies at international level.

Romania’s healthcare infrastructure market has grown rapidly over the past four years. As it evolves into a more mature and structured system, this is a timely moment to engage more deeply with international best practice — not to replicate it, but as a basis for dialogue, adaptation and collaboration.

This edition is conceived as a platform for meaningful exchange. Alongside keynote presentations, focused roundtables will address large and specialist hospitals, mental health design, briefing and standards, infection control, PPP models and the future of healthcare systems.

Having begun my architectural education in Romania before building an international healthcare design career, this programme is especially meaningful to me. I encourage all those involved in healthcare projects to join the dialogue as we work together to strengthen the future of healthcare infrastructure in Romania.
